“The most important thing (for our students) is to cultivate social responsibility and a broad perspective.”
- Professor Francis K.L. CHAN

  Dean of Medicine (MBChB 1988)
To ensure that Professor Gerald Choa’s rich legacy lives on, the Gerald Choa Memorial Fund was established in 2013, with the following objectives:

  • To honour his achievements
  • To cultivate a “support-by-giving” culture among our graduates
  • To strengthen our heritage and to foster close ties between alumni and medical students
  • To support activities benefitting both students and the community at large

Why Donations are Important
Donations are the cornerstone of many successful programmes.

With financial contributions from alumni and the public, we will be able to initiate far-reaching and meaningful endeavours to benefit the Faculty, students and the community at large.

Advisory Committee
An advisory committee consisting of benefactors, senior Faculty staff, medical alumni and student representatives will conduct meticulous and stringent monitoring of the Fund to ensure it is appropriately and prudently fulfilling its objectives.
